Today has been a long day. Up all night last night with a 3-year-old with the flu. All day long cleaning up nasty messes and breaking up fights. Kids are finally asleep, well for now because of course, they will be up sick tonight as well. Do I deserve a treat right? Now, why does food need to be my comfort? Why is it that seeing my husband and being with him alone is not enough? How about opening the Bible? How about that being my comfort? Going to Him in prayer? How about another hobby?
I have told myself for so many years that I love food that I am convinced. Have you ever told a lie so many times that it becomes truth? The repeating of a lie becomes truth in our minds. So can’t the opposite happen as well? How about telling ourselves that food does not run us? We need to be uplifting ourselves, telling ourselves how much we are loved. And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.(1 John 4:16)
Negative thoughts and actions will only produce a negative life. While positive thoughts and actions will produce a positive life. I will be reading and repeating some of these quotes and Bible scriptures to myself every day this week. Will you join me? Do you have any special scriptures or quotes that you rely on? Please share them!

2 Timothy 1:7
For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love, and self-discipline.
For the Lord will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being caught.
